There is a storm on the horizon

"There is a storm on the horizon."
This phrase is actually a paraphrase of a verse
that appears several times in the book of Jeremiah. It refers specifically
to the gathering storm about to hit Judah at the hands of the Babylonians.
Some dear friends have helped me to see that the meaning of this piece
extends beyond this reference, however. Whether the turmoil of everyday
life or the ultimate storm of the last days, the follower of Jesus need
not fear.
Altered photo used: a view from Plateau Point,
taken during my adventure in the Grand Canyon. About 1/2 inch of
the piece has been clipped off the left side by my too-short scanner. |
